Population:
Mostly farmers; small police force authorized for peacekeeping but disbanded during the last years of the Rebel War on Milevon. Since then, a small Republic Security Force has been in effect, attempting to maintain peace in a war-torn world.
Milevon was one of the outer rim worlds last to be colonized by the Systems’ Republic during the expansion age. During the first 2 decades of colonization, the UDF used the planet as an outpost in the outer rim. There were no major conflicts that involved Milevon at this time. In 2155, UDF forces were called back to Belemyth due to unrest in the outer colony worlds, a conflict that would eventually become the Rebel War. During this time, farmers from all over the galaxy came to settle in Milevon. Farming was a difficult process on Milevon due to originally infertile ground in the southern hemisphere. Once the Equator and parts of the southern hemisphere were found to be excellent farmland, many residents settled their farms in those areas.
For the next 19 years, residents mainly kept to their farming ways, with most of the outside conflict being more gossip than concern. It wasn’t until the war came to the Vega Algira System system that conflict began. Due to mixed political beliefs on Milevon, the population was split, with many siding with the Systems’ Rebel Front, and some siding with the UDF and the Systems’ Republic. The local government, mainly local security forces left behind after the evacuation of the UDF in 2155, briefly tried to keep the peace, but a terrorist attack by a Systems’ Republic loyalist on the National Bank in the city of Uaron caused the local government to intervene. Many supposed pro-UDF terrorists were arrested, and subsequently executed. Due to unstrict Systems Republic laws on the local government, the court system was viewed as “unfair” and “too quick”. The executions were the final straw. Many pro-UDF residents quickly came to rioting. The local security itself split and went to both sides. Eventually, the government officially decided to declare itself seceded from the Systems’ Republic, and sided with the Systems’ Rebel State. Almost immediately, both sides moved to obtain as much farmland under their control as they could. Many old Republic outposts in the Northern Mountains were taken under pro-Republican control, while many of the southern cities sided with the Rebels. For the next three months, both sides tried to contact outside forces for support, but both the Republic and the Rebel State were occupied with the war. During this time, Pro-Republican forces named their organization to the Protectors of Peace, or P.O.P. This was in an effort to gain more recognition by the Systems’ Republic for help in the civil war.
Then, on September 16, 2178, pro-Rebel forces led a joint strike against known pro-Republic towns in a terrorism act. Publicly executing civilians in the middle of the street, ransacking small homes, and burning crops. As fighting moved from cities to the landscapes, more and more P.O.P. members were caught completely by surprise in the face of this onslaught. For 6 months, P.O.P. personnel were beaten back, all the way to the northern mountains and into old mining facilities. Again, a stalemate had emerged. Unwilling to risk thousands of lives trying to take the mountains, Pro-Rebel pioneers instead sought the help of Systems’ Rebel State forces near the system. During this time, the battle for the mid-rim worlds had died down to a complete standstill, and Rebel forces looked the the outer-rim colonies and worlds for control. When the S.R.S. government heard of the conflict on Milevon in May 3, 2181, a sizeable fleet of 2 Star Cruisers with moderate armor and shielding, 7 Destroyers with some armor and no shields, and over two dozen converted civilian vessels with little to no armor and shielding, was sent to take the world back. Without the ability to combat starships, the Protectors of Peace were faced with two options; be slaughtered, or surrender to Rebel forces. Surrender was negotiated.
Meanwhile, the Systems’ Republic was still in the middle of a war. With campaigns against the rebels on two fronts, dealing with smaller engagements was a large challenge, especially in the outer-rim. Since many political and military leaders were not raised in the outer-rim, they were not familiar with the living conditions to civilians in these areas. So, many UDF personnel thought it best to stay out of conflict in these areas. It wasn’t until the former Prime Minister of the Banking for Milevon organization, Jarec Mucane, appealed directly to the Galactic Chambers about the condition in the outer-rim that action was taken. Jarec Mucane had been a prominent member of the Chambers in the years before the war, until he retired, and went to work for the world of Milevon. Because of this, many current senators and military personnel trusted his judgment and position. But, due to the slow political system of the Republic, nothing happened for months, until June 23, 2184 when the 10th Campaign Fleet was sent to Milevon.
While politics crawled on, military actions in the mid-rim showed great promise. The worlds of Prokterent and Convem were successfully taken in a revamped campaign of the Kytheme System of the mid-rim, and groups from the Special Asset Division had managed to destabilize Rebel supply routes into the mid-rim from the Cambri system in the outer-rim. The war, it seemed, was coming to a close. Finally, in early 2184, military force into the outer-rim was authorized, and the Milevon Campaign began. Campaign Fleets were sent to the systems of Ectanus 36 and Yellir, and many previously Rebel-held worlds initially surrendered with very little combat.
When the 10th Campaign Fleet arrived in the Vega Algira System, the 51st Legionary Assault Front, famous for many victorious battles and operations in the past, were deployed to Milevon, along with the 49th Assault Front, but not before a small scale naval battle ensued. Almost immediately, 1 Rebel Star Cruiser and 4 Destroyers were destroyed, with an unknown amount of converted civilian ships being lost. A Republic Atlas Class Light Cruiser and 1 Shrike Class Frigate were moderately damaged, and retreated for repairs, while 1 Shrike Class Frigate was forced to abandon ship. The last Rebel Cruiser left the system, while the remaining 3 Destroyers were forced behind the planet. The rest of the Rebel ships were destroyed, captured, or retreated out of the system, with only two Shipping Freighters left behind with the Destroyers. Meanwhile, dropships containing the 51st and 49th were sent to the planet surface, with a Corvette escort. Rebel anti-air defenses were destroyed rather quickly with long range, orbital strikes, and the landing crews made it to Kilevon with no casualties. A small amount of about 120 Rebel fighters were still in the city. The firefight to take back the city only lasted 45 minutes, with all enemy fighters killed or captured. With the city secure, Kilevon became the command center for all military actions on planet, and even for some interplanetary operations. The entire 51st Legion was deployed to the ground, along with several elements of the, 49th, and began setting the course for several operations against known rebel bases and holdouts.
During the initial wave of invasion, other cities like Jiriane and Kelove and Heldone were also captured, with little to no Republic casualties. Unfortunately, operations into the northern mountains and into the mines were almost impossible at first, since many of the classified materials used for stealth capabilities were being used to hide enemy encampments and defenses in those areas. The necessary sensory equipment used to see past these elements were not issued to a normal invasion fleet, and had to be requested from High Command. Hence, operations into the northern hemisphere were not able to be conducted for months. During this downtime, more and more operations in the southern hemisphere were successfully conducted, and much of the farmland was captured from remaining Rebel forces. Then, on November 7, 2184, a renewed Rebel invasion fleet was sent to the Vega Algira System in order to recapture Milevon and other worlds.
The size of this fleet was much larger than what Republic forces anticipated, with 4 Heavy Cruisers, 15 Battleships, and 21 Destroyers involved in the invasion force, along with countless converted civilian cruisers. What followed was most likely one of the largest naval battles in the War. For 7 hours, both forces battled it out in high orbit above Milevon. It was unofficially reported that a Republic Tier 3 Class War Sphinx was heavily damaged, and even destroyed. Officially, 4 Republic Shrike Class Frigates were lost, along with 2 Atlas Class Light Cruisers, with one Tier 2 Class War Sphinx needing heavy repairs. The Rebels did not fare any better. 2 Heavy Cruisers were destroyed, 1 being heavily damaged beyond repair, and the last fleeing orbit after taking heavy damage. All 15 Battleships were destroyed, with the 3 remaining from the first wave fleeing the system. 14 Destroyers were Destroyed, with 3 being captured, and the rest retreating soon after. It was said that several Stealth Starships were used on both sides, but this is unconfirmed. The rest of the rather large Rebel fleet was almost completely destroyed, with few ships making it out in one piece. This battle marked the beginning of the end for the Battle of Milevon.
With Republic intelligence unable to predict the size and timing of the Rebel fleet, serious security changes were enacted within the UDF. Several Intelligence officers were fired, personnel of the Security Council seemingly “retired” without any notice, and security measures within the fleets and forces greatly increased. Classified “Protocol Pearl” was in full effect.
Meanwhile, with the naval conflict at a decisive end, the remaining Rebel forces on planet were at an impasse. Surrender and live, and possibly be executed for crimes against the Republic, or fight for some ounce of hope. No one decision was made. Several Rebel holdouts surrendered, with all prisoners of war being transported back to the Core worlds for debriefing. The remaining forces hunkered down and prepared for a fight. In this time, the sensor equipment needed for seeing past the stealth shielding was finally acquired by the 51st, and operational plans were made to completely take back Milevon.
The first battle in the Northern Hemisphere occurred in the Sector 2 Mines, deep in the Jiran Mountains. The following engagements were not as easy as the cities of the Southern Hemisphere. 3 Frontiers of the 51st were involved in the strike against Rebel forces, and only 1 full Frontier came back in one piece. Is was then evident that the remaining Rebel forces were prepared for a full out war. Over the next 3 weeks, several operations were conducted in mining facilities and holdouts held by Rebel forces. Fighting was brutal. The jagged and mountainous terrain gave major advantage to Rebel forces, and with the rain season coming, things only got harder for Republic Troops. Heavy equipment would be lost to the depths of the mountain ranges, or be swallowed by seemingly endless mud. Aerial bombardments seemed to be the most effective at combating dug in Rebel forces, and even this wasn’t perfect. So many air strikes were called in a such short amount of time, that the fleet had to request another fleet of supplies to keep the ground forces moving. More and more elements of the 51st and 49th were lost to heavy combat, with an endless amount of ground to cover. Finally, High Command had had enough.
The concept of orbital bombardment was not uncommon to UDF fleets, as this strategy was used against the alien Vaxenant Empire to great effect. But officially, orbital bombardment was barred by the Galactic Chambers as being an unnecessarily destructive method of warfare. Hence, bombardments were not widely used by fleets as a method of combat. But, Milevon was special in High Command’s eyes. Since the Rebels were in possession of classified and illegal material, and since there were no civilian inhabitants reported near Rebel holdouts, a full scale orbital bombardment of the planet was ordered on the mountain ranges in the Northern Hemisphere. When the last of the ground forces were evacuated from the area, the bombardment began. A total of 213,000,000,000 tons of explosives, 1,900,000,000,000 tons of ammunition, and 540,000,000 tons of other munitions were used in the following attack. Any and all remaining Rebel forces were utterly destroyed, along with any mining facilities in the area of attack. An estimated total of 270 mining facilities and 300,000 Rebel fighters were wiped out. The countryside was turned to glass, and many of the tallest mountains on planet were reduced to rubble. Jiran’s Point was never seen again. On April 29, 2185, the Battle of Milevon was utterly, and suddenly, over.
Many historians believe that the Battle of Milevon was the last large scale battle of the War, with an estimated total of (?) Rebel deaths, and (?) Republic casualties. The full extent of damage during the battle is unconfirmed, with an estimated amount as much as 150 Trillion Credits worth of damage to 8.5 Billion Credits worth. The number of civilians left after the conflict is, again, unconfirmed, with estimates of only 12,000,000 citizens left on planet. Many cities and towns on Milevon were destroyed from debris after the large naval battles above the planet, along with damage from the orbital bombardment. A large portion of the farming lands have been rendered useless due to the orbital bombardment, much of it being turned to bedrock. The planet was almost deemed uninhabitable by the Department of Health in the UDF. The Humanitarian Office of Planetary Resources has found themselves in high demand in not only Milevon, but most other worlds affected by the War.
The Humanitarian Office was jumped to the Vega Algira system shortly after the 51st and 49th Legions along with the 10th Campaign Fleet left on (?). The state of the planet was reportedly worse than any other planet they have helped. The impossible task of rebuilding the broken lives, cities, government, and economy of Milevon is projected to not be finished until 2290. In a statement by Harley Loan, a doctor with the association, “We just cannot help these people. We try everything we can, but this world is just too much gone. The only thing that can change lives is a full evacuation of the planet.” Meanwhile, the Systems Republic is now focused on other political matters elsewhere in the galaxy. Unfortunately for Milevon, help will simply not come.
The Tri-Global Corporation has released papers and statements saying that mining will return to Milevon in the future, but not for several years. Meanwhile, almost all the crops on Milevon have been destroyed, with only a few left to sustain the remaining citizens on Milevon. With no interest left in Milevon, many corporations are looking elsewhere to build their industries. The UDF has currently no interest in staying in system, and only a small protection fleet has been stationed to protect the Humanitarian Office and their efforts.
The Independent Colonists have reached out to the Systems’ Republic in an effort to gain control of the planet, to no prevail. Many prominent humanitarians from the Reeds Movement have been sent to the system to help in aide of the residents still on planet, while political talks over the planet have drugged on. The Colonists have been trying to vow for many war-torn worlds from the War, with little success. Since many of these worlds don’t have an official government anymore, converting them to the protection of the Independent Colonists has been astronomically difficult. Moreover, Industries like the Tri-Global Corporation have very high influence within the Galactic Chambers, and seeing as Milevon still has a valuable mining industry still available, the Chambers is very reluctant to hand over a “useless” planet over to the Colonists.
Meanwhile, the Rebel State has not tried for the planet any longer. With a large fleet destroyed in that sector, along with the loss of the planet, no political or military operation to take back Milevon has even been planned. Along with many other former Rebel worlds, Milevon is now in total Republic control, with only a small portion of the galaxy left to the Rebel State.
With the War unofficially over, the destruction of Milevon has served as a symbol of great military triumph for the Republic, and a devastating defeat for the Rebels. For the rest of the galaxy, is is a beacon of the destructive power of war. Groups like the Independant Colonists have tried to convict the Republic of crimes against humanity and nature over the bombing of Milevon, again to no prevail. Milevon is now seemingly on its own, with little Republic help, and almost no hope left. Only time will tell whether Milevon will be known in the galaxy once again…

Present.
VIDEO APPEARS WITH SOREN AND ORIYN STANDING.
Grand Admiral, Soren Hytte:
First rotation since the invasion. Do we have air Superiority on the surface?
High General, Oriyn Cernit:
Did the 86th Legion seize control over the Zai-Lytian outpost?
Infantry Commander, Jack rokowski:
Yes, general. The 86th Legion Front captured the base with no hassle.
Sector Admiral, Zak Shi:
We are ahead of schedule and with the majority of the northern hemisphere free from the Federation. Commander Henzer has set up a surface command with 3 atlas light cruisers dry dock located in abandoned Xekoun Dynasty Territory.
Infantry Commander, Jack Rokowski:
There we can mobilize out to the last 3 Federation controlled cities. Once that is finished we plan to send out a frontier of commandos and DiamondBacks Echo and May Khil to capture Cy-Cabis in the heart of Noble Cabis Family territory.
Grand Admiral, Soren Hytte:
Well put, I trust your campaign gentlemen will be complete by the 7th rotation.
Sector Admiral, Zak Shi:
Our goal is sooner than 7 rotations.
High General, Oriyn Cernit:
Good to hear, we will be sending Ground Ops Military Police your way, distribute the MP units to UDF-controlled cities for civil control.
Grand Admiral, Soren Hytte:
Sending military police will be proven effective as a temporary aid to civil cooperation until we can send in the Humanitarian Office of Planetary Resources.
Sector Admiral, Zak Shi:
Understood sir
ZAK AND JACK SALUTE UNTIL THE VIDEO COMMS END.
Infantry Commander, Jack Rokowski:
We got this Zak.

"Echoes of Kilevon"
Summary: In the midst of a brutal military campaign, a unit of the United Defense Force (UDF) struggles to capture the strategically significant city of Kilevon. As they navigate the harsh realities of war, the soldiers face numerous challenges, including treacherous terrain, powerful weaponry, and the ever-present threat of enemy forces. Amidst the chaos and carnage, they find moments of camaraderie and reflection, fostering hope for a future beyond the battlefield. Echoes of Kilevon explores the complexities of conflict, revealing the human spirit's resilience in the face of adversity.
"Watch your left!"
"Get down!"
"Move!"
"Breacher up!"
Privateer 1st Mark Kilowani approaches the locked automated door. Across the street, 3rd Squad is suppressing an emplacement 300 meters away on the third floor of the Howler Moon Motel. A bit further back, Corporal Darding and Privateer Young sprint toward the North Bound Milevon Bank. A couple of Spearhawks streak across the sky several miles up. Twelve clicks to the north, Langster Mountain is ablaze.
Crump! The door remains solid. Crump! "Let's get this moving!" Crump! "Come on, Kilo! Get this door open!" Crash! "Move in! Go, go!"
The scent of burnt leather tires fills the air. The ceiling is cracked, with two support beams on either side. "Right clear!" Two bodies bleed onto the carpet near the bar. "Left contact!" Crack! Crack! A glass holopane on the mid-left shatters. "Left clear!" "Move up, now!" A half-drained 10-year-old whiskey bottle sits on the front table. A shame. "Kilo, Powler, Ratche, move right!" Glass litters the lower part of the bar, burn marks on the left side. The stairs are made of permacrete, a material that hardens within two hours but lasts just three months. "Watch the corner, I saw something!"
Upstairs is in worse shape, with little furniture and a few makeshift barricades. Crack! Cr-Crack! "One down! Reloading!" The balcony is empty save for a few sandbags. The building across has collapsed into rubble. The smell of vomit and burnt hair now permeates the air. "Upstairs clear! All clear!"
The high-rises about 500 meters away all bear scars from artillery fire. "Blackbook One Two, this is Foxtrot Two Two, how copy, over?" The fire miles away has spread to both Nipple Rock and Youngster Peak, with blazing farmlands in between. Cadet Corporal Thompson sits on a plastoid chair, his Spitfire resting on the edge of the balcony. "Roger Blackbook One Two, I'll relay that. Chief, we have friendly LAWSONs coming in from the South."
"Roger that, Corporal."
"Hey Ryan, you see that thing directly west of us, ten o'clock?"
"Where?"
"4th story, that high-rise with the billboard."
"That black thing?"
"Yeah."
"That's a pipe, bro."
"No, the thing to the left of that."
It's cloudy and starting to sprinkle. No wind at all. "What is that?"
"That's what I'm telling you, I don't know. Yo, Corporal, come take a look at this."
Whump! Part of a first-floor shop on the other side disappears. Glass is everywhere. Dust billows from the inside. "Chief, I think we have something. Grid... two-four alpha, six-one alpha."
"It looks distorted, sir. Cloaking, maybe?"
"That's an L67."
"You sure?"
"Yes, sir, positive."
"Call it in. Blow it."
"Yes, sir."
It's starting to rain now. Puddles form in the pockmarked street. Wet footsteps are everywhere. 3rd Squad is moving up. "Orion Actual, this is Foxtrot Two Two, request fire mission, break…" A rocket, probably a Mark 4, streaks into a high-rise just 200 meters to the right, debris and dust showering 3rd Squad with rain.
"... Grid echo, yankee, two, four, alpha, six, one, alpha, elevation, two, two, mike, danger close, requesting one one zero mike mike, fire for effect, over." One of the Spearhawks in the sky begins its rotation. "Roger, Actual, Spearhawk inbound, out. Hey! We got impact in one mike!"
Thunderous sounds roll across the mountains. More gunfire to the East, likely from 1st Squad. "10 seconds. Brace!" The flash comes before the sound. Cra-Bloom----Whump! Almost a quarter of the high-rise is charred black, piping and electric pumping out of the exposed floors. Fires ignite from the damaged ammunition. "Good hit, Orion Actual. Good effect on target, out."
The smell of burnt tires returns, mingling with the scent of wet dirt. Rain pours down relentlessly. The fires still burn, likely fueled by oil. Landing pods streak down through the sky, leaving contrails as they land about 10 clicks away.
"Hey, how does that song go? You know, the one by Allen Petrophsky?"
"Wasn't it like, 'Take me a drink, I'll take you a stone'?"
"'Take me a home, I'll take you a cloone'..."
"'And maybe he'd be better off aloone'..."
"Yeah, that's the one..."
"With the arrival of reinforcements, UDF personnel have successfully taken the cities of Kilevon, Kontrel, and Hontrel in a revamped campaign into the Milevon system. This, of course, is not without consequences. At least twelve hundred UDF casualties have been reported, with almost one hundred missing in action--"
"Turn that off! It's go time!"
"Wheels down in two mikes! Get ready, people!"
Four weeks. That's how long it took to capture that city. Four weeks and nearly four hundred casualties.
"Hey, Corporal, what's up with that tattoo?"
"What's wrong with it?"
"It looks like my grandmother turned into a pitbull, and my grandmother already looked like one."
"Man, screw you. This is my mom."
"Then I feel sorry for the poor guy who dealt with her."
"Whatever."
Four weeks. In the first 72 hours of touchdown, we lost Privateer Kilowani, Corporal Gerald, Privateer Ratche, Senior Chief Potter, Cadet Corporal Walkins, and Privateer Young. Just the first 72 hours. "Roger Kilo One One, touchdown in one mike, out."
"What's the situation?"
"Sir, Kilo is at PRP, holding position."
"Roger."
It's still pouring outside. Mud and guts. No one even bothers cleaning their gear anymore; it'll just get dirty again.
"Lock and load, people! We're getting off this ride!" The back hatch lowers, revealing a weary Crew Chief. "Ropes down!"
"It's clear, you're good to go!"
"Go, go!"
Privateer and Cadet Corporal Deter, brothers, go down first. They always go first, thinking if they die, they die together. Too poetic for my taste. Three and four, five and six. We all touch down, all twelve of us. We used to be thirty-four strong in our element. Not anymore. "I want three-sixty security, now!"
"Roger, moving!"
The mountains are beautiful, green all around, with rain creating a foggy mist. I didn't expect it to look this good. It reminds me of home, of old Russia, of my grandparents. "We clear?" "Clear, no contacts." There's still a fire somewhere far to the north, likely where third battalion engaged the mining facility. They called it a "tactical retreat." Yeah, losing half your men and then falling back is sure "tactical." "Get your gear; we're going for a ruck."
"Great. Just what I wanted."
"Lock it up. Staggered line, let's move."
Our camis have faded almost to black. They're durable, but they've got a few rips here and there. They'll be saltier than the Dead Sea of Orion once I get back to a washing compartment. My rifle used to have custom camo painting all over it. That's gone too. I even lost my IFAC a while ago. This campaign was supposed to be over in two weeks. We're two weeks behind schedule, and we've barely pushed into the surrounding mountains of Kilevon. It's a bloodbath. "Hey, Cy-Linion."
"Sup?"
"I've been thinking, maybe I could get a piece of land out here when this is all over."
"What?"
"You know, settle down, get a nice view."
"Maybe, if all this ain't blown to bits before."
"You never know."
There's a clearing up ahead, littered with destroyed PARSNs and L85s. The whole area is charred black, but there are no bodies. A line of smoke rises from the northwest and travels south. More drop pods in the sky. More reinforcements. "Check for bodies. Looks like Spearhawks cleared this one out."
"Roger."
It doesn't take long before we find nothing. Spearhawks must've used adhesive napalm; I can see the streaks going downrange for about a hundred meters. It smells like a cedar log in a fireplace, sweet and smoky. It's nice not to smell burning hair for a little while. "We squared away?"
"Yes, sir, all set."
"Call it in, let them know we found this."
"Roger. Deadpan four four, this is Foxtrott two two, how copy, over?"
The radio crackles with a response, and our journey continues. With each step, we know we're closer to ending this nightmare, but the toll it's taken on us is evident. The scars of war run deep, and the landscape around us serves as a constant reminder. Still, we press on, driven by the hope that one day, when this is all over, we can find peace and perhaps even a home among these mountains. Until then, we march forward, ever vigilant, ever determined, to complete our mission and return to the ones we left behind.
GLOSSARY
Briefing
In the Praelium Universe, New Earth serves as the center of a vast and diverse interstellar landscape, filled with numerous humanoid nations and micro-nations spanning across the observable galactic region. The Systems Republic, a superpower nation with sovereignty over 17 different planets, governs New Earth and enforces its rule through the Unitary Defense Fleet (UDF) and Fleet Intelligence. The universe is rich with history, conflict, and intrigue, as various factions and dynasties, such as the Zai-Lyt Federation, the Xekoun Dynasty, and the Oriridian Domain, vie for power and resources.
At the heart of the Systems Republic lies a complex, multi-layered government structure. The Federal Galactic Government consists of the Galactic Chambers, which is composed of the House of Representatives and the Senate, as well as the executive branch, led by the Chancellor, who is supported by a cabinet of ministers and directors from various departments, offices, and councils. The Grand Republic Court ensures adherence to the Republic Charter and upholds the law.
Jurisdiction and enforcement responsibilities are delegated to Regional Governments, which are further divided into Inner and Outer Regional Systems. Inner systems, being closer to New Earth, benefit from closer ties and support from the Federal Galactic Government. In contrast, Outer Regional Systems, located farther away, struggle with resource distribution and often rely on local resources and the UDF for protection and policing.
Throughout the Praelium Universe, numerous other states and factions coexist, such as the Independent Colonist, Systems Rebel State, and various planetary governments, each with their unique history, culture, and challenges. The universe is vast and diverse, teeming with potential for exploration, adventure, and discovery, as well as the backdrop for epic conflicts and personal stories of triumph and loss.
Systems Republic:
Federal Galactic Government
The Federal Galactic Government is the highest level of government in the Systems Republic. It consists of the Galactic Chambers, which is the legislative branch, the Chancellor, who is the executive branch, and the Grand Republic Court, which is the judicial branch.
Galactic Chambers: The Galactic Chambers is composed of a House of Representatives and a Senate. Members of these chambers are responsible for creating and passing laws that govern the entire Systems Republic. They also oversee the operations of various Federal Galactic Departments, Offices, and Councils.
Chancellor: The Chancellor is the head of state and the Supreme Commander of the military. They are responsible for implementing the laws passed by the Galactic Chambers and directing the overall policy of the Systems Republic. The Chancellor is assisted by a cabinet of ministers and directors from various Federal Galactic Departments, Offices, and Councils.
Grand Republic Court: The Grand Republic Court is the highest court in the Systems Republic. It is responsible for interpreting the laws passed by the Galactic Chambers and ensuring that they are in line with the Republic Charter.
Regional Governments
Regional Governments are responsible for enforcing federal laws and policies within their respective regions. Due to the vastness of space and the time it takes for communication to travel, Regional Governments have a degree of autonomy. They have their own Regional Courts which act as safeguards to the higher laws of the Republic.
Colonial Governments
Colonial Governments are mostly autonomous from Federal Jurisdictions. However, their level of autonomy is conditional on their distance from the central federal galactic government. The closer a colony is to Sol, the more influence the federal government has over it.
Inner and Outer Regional Systems
The Systems Republic is divided into Inner and Outer Regional Systems. Inner systems, being closer to Sol, benefit from shorter communication times and quicker emergency aid. They also receive more federal support and supplies. Outer systems, on the other hand, are more self-reliant due to their distance from Sol. They rely on their own resources and the Unitary Defense Fleet Sector Command for defense, enforcement, and policing.
Inner Regional Systems
Sol System: This is the birthplace of humanity and the heart of the Systems Republic. It includes colonies on New Earth (formerly Mars), Luna, Titan, Enceladus, and Europa.
Balient Hype System: This system includes Soarora, an ecumenopolis, and Pershik, a farmland planet.
Hyperion-5 System: This system includes Vanderhite, a planet with a mix of urban and rural areas and a military staging ground, and Ki-Veec, an urban/suburban/ecumene planet.
Outer/Remote Regional Systems
Vega Algira System: This system includes Milevon, a rural/suburban planet.
Redium Maximus System: This system includes Tentrint-B and Convem.
Kytheme System: This system includes Belemyth and Prokterent.
Fitora-5 System: This system includes Galient-4.
Ectanus-36 System: This system includes Apirt and Kahl-Tyc.
Each of these systems and colonies has its own unique characteristics and challenges, contributing to the rich diversity of the Systems Republic.
Ground Operations:
Responsible for ground operations, including protection of ground assets, ground-based raids and assaults, and providing ground support and security
Personnel are experts in infantry tactics, weapons, and space operations
Capable of operating in various conditions, from planetary surfaces to space environments
Naval Operations (NavOps):
Tasked with maintaining control over designated regions of space and air
Commanded by the Fleet Admiral and Navarch
Responsible for patrolling the stars, protecting air and space assets, and engaging in air and space combat
Experts in celestial navigation, space operations, and advanced interstellar vessel maintenance
Highly skilled in advanced weapons and tactics, such as long-range missiles and laser technology
Espatier Corps:
Primarily focused on ship-to-ship action and boarding operations.
Operate with specialized ships designed for combat against other vessels.
Trained for raiding space installations, such as mining colonies, merchant ships, and space stations.
Excel in large-scale space battles and have a significant advantage in ship-to-ship engagements.
Well-prepared for swift boarding and extraction missions.
Overall Mission:
The UDF, including Ground Operations, Naval Operations, and the Espatier Corps, is a highly organized and disciplined interstellar navy. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and weaponry, making it a formidable force. Tasked with providing transport and air support to Ground Operations during combat missions. Works closely with the Espatier Corps to defend the Systems Republic and its interests in the galaxy. Committed to maintaining a strong presence in the galaxy, ensuring the security and prosperity of its member worlds.
Terraferma Inc.
- Formerly known as Space-Gen, Terraferma obtained a majority of United Colonies of Earth grants for human expansion such as in-orbit construction and development of the Proto-Dyson Sphere and Modular Terraformation Systems. This company is one of the first to create an entirely new market sector for services. The first test and challenge for the company would be Mars, once finished and terraformation has concluded; The resultant success will prove Terraferma Inc to be an extremely valuable and profitable company.
United Nations Office of Outer Space Affairs UNOSA
- By the year 2050 The United Nations Security Council will revisit the original Outer Space Treaty and begin to add economic policies to foster the beginning of an economic framework for the early Space Economy. These policies were approved by all Permanent Members of the Security Council, thus making it possible for companies to gain.

Great Vant'r
Great Vant'r was once a prominent religion, but it has since been banned due to its history of promoting the forced submission of other states under its regime. It was derived from the beliefs, folklore, and traditions of the Invictus Armies, a powerful military force known for its conquests. Despite its ban, remnants of its teachings and practices may still exist in secret among its former followers.
Greater Adonis Order
The Greater Adonis Order is the official religion of the Crardorian Republic. It is based on the beliefs, folklore, and traditions of the Invictus Armies, but it has evolved to incorporate the values and principles of the Crardorian Republic. The Greater Adonis Order is unique in that it contains accounts of real historical events and sacred locations, which lends credibility to its teachings and makes it a living testament to the Crardorian Republic's history and culture.
Vaxenant Cult
The Vaxenant Cult is a minority religion that venerates the high lords, or the Xii'Chiaf, of the Vaxenanian Empire. Followers of the Vaxenant Cult believe that the will of the Xii'Chiaf is a divine power that guides and protects the Vaxenanian Empire. Despite being a minority religion, the Vaxenant Cult has a dedicated following and has managed to survive and thrive in the face of adversity.
Ra'heen Shurom
Ra'heen Shurom is a religion primarily practiced by marginalized populations such as the Zai-Lyt and some colonies of Condorik-91. It shares similarities with the New Christian Order and Great Vant'r, but it has its unique beliefs and practices. Followers of Ra'heen Shurom believe that all sentient beings are connected by divine galactic wavelengths, which they believe are responsible for the naturally occurring wormholes used for interstellar travel. This belief gives them a unique perspective on the universe and their place in it.
Human Absolutist
The Human Absolutists are a group that has been labeled a terrorist organization by the Systems Republic. They are generally xenophobic and supremacist, believing in the inherent superiority of humans over other species. They harbor complex prejudices against colonials from the outer colonies, further complicating their public image and leading to tensions and conflicts with other groups.
New Christian Order (NCO)
Christianity has undergone numerous transformations since the discovery of wormholes and interstellar colonization. The New Christian Order is a modern interpretation of Christianity that refrains from addressing conflicting discrepancies that may not apply to 23rd-century society. In this faith, God is still a higher being, possibly a divine alien or celestial entity beyond human comprehension. NCO followers believe that God created not only Earth but also the entire universe for humans to explore, viewing this as the ultimate test for humanity to showcase the potential of God's greatest creation. This belief gives them a sense of purpose and mission as they venture into the vastness of space.
The galaxy’s most significant human naval force, operating as a primarily military and administrative body of the Systems Republic Unitary Defense Forces (nicknamed the Unitary Defense Fleet by NavOps members). The Naval Operations presents itself as the most dominant and powerful navy currently known in observable regions of the Milky Way Galaxy. Even with the power to challenge and overwhelm opponents with aerospace superiority, NavOps is also capable of deploying Ground Operations units and assets to confront an entire planetary state.

Designed and Concepted by former UDF Director Fiddit Grant the Fiddit Assault Carrier Class sought construction in 2163 by Hyperion Ships Building Inc. By 2172 the first Fiddit Class Assault Carrier Class was commissioned with an additional 4 more commissioned the next year. These formidable vessels proved durability in combat time and time again. Seen in Vaxenian and Human combat the 2nd Series Assault Carrier quickly became the flagship and primary command element in Battlegroup to even Fleet Operations.
Fiddit Class Assault Carriers are known for high star travel speeds and their capability to change momentums of combat when encountered. To the present time, Fiddit Assault Carries have and will likely always be a singular ship of invincibility. Racking in most deployments, combat, and wartime. The Systems Republic truly favors this carrier over any. Unlike the Anura Class Amphibious Carrier, this flagship is not capable of in-atmosphere entry due to sheer size, weight, and engine fitting. The Fiddit counters this con easily by housing a myriad of vehicles and transport assets. Fiddits often remain in orbit of the targeted planet and act as Command Centres throughout an operation.
Depleted Uranium is used on tank armor.

Topography:
- 2.16 times larger than New Earth
- Mostly flat farmlands throughout the equator
- Northern Hemisphere contains numerous mountain ranges, rivaling the size of New Earth's Himalayas. Tallest mountain peak: "Jiran's Point" at 32,061 feet. Many mountain ranges near Jiran's Point converted into quarries for Tri-Global Corporation's precious mineral mining.
- Northern Hemisphere's only large body of water: "Ulan Sea." Numerous lakes and rivers also populate the region.
- Equator: 83% farmland, some within large valleys between mountain ranges.
- Only 12% of Ulan Sea is located within the equator; the largest body of water: "Jorran Sea" on the other side of the planet.
- Southern Hemisphere: smaller mountain ranges than the north but still rivaling New Earth's largest mountains. Tallest mountain peak: "Mount Provis" at 27,137 feet.
- Majority of the population resides in the Southern Hemisphere: 11 large cities and an unknown number of small towns and villages. Kilevon is located 16,000 miles south of the equator.
- North and south poles: mostly tundra with large ice caps; no residents and little known about them.
Agriculture:
Primarily wheat and other grains, with a significant amount of vegetable and flower farms.
Industry:
Sole industry: Tri-Global Corporation in the north, mining valuable minerals and metals such as iron, gold, Type A Carbon Alloy, Type G Iron Hydroxide Alloy, and a classified material used for stealth capabilities on starships and equipment.
