Rules and Policies
As a member of the Unitary Defense Force, you are required to follow our Code of Conduct. This code outlines the rules and standards of behavior that we expect from all of our members.
The Code of Conduct includes offenses and penalties for various types of violations. Offenses range from failure to adhere to traditions, customs, and courtesies, to misuse of technical resources, to unauthorized inference or intervention in affairs or operations not to one's own position, rank, clearance, Unit, or division.
Penalties for these offenses include formal reprimands, corrective training, reduction of rank or rate (demotion), Board of Review or ICA Hearing, or discharge from the UDF.
We take our Code of Conduct very seriously, and any violation will be dealt with promptly and appropriately. By adhering to this code, we can maintain a strong and united community that upholds the highest standards of conduct and professionalism.

Code of conduct
UDF members are expected to follow a code of conduct to ensure a positive, respectful, and effective environment for all. Enforcement is based on habitual patterns and intent, rather than a strict adherence to technicalities.
- Activity and Leave: Members are expected to attend events they sign up for and follow established leave request procedures.
- Conduct Unbecoming: Members must adhere to customs, traditions, and courtesies and behave in a professional and respectful manner towards others.
- Improper Use of Technical Resources: Members must use communication tools responsibly and avoid spamming or posting illegible text.
- Discourtesy: Members must avoid rude, impolite, or disrespectful behavior towards others.
- Discrimination: Members must not discriminate based on race, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, political affiliation, marital status, genetic information, or other impermissible bases.
- Failure to Follow Directives: Members must follow orders and regulations and respond promptly to communications.
- Breach of Security: Members must follow security regulations and practices and avoid compromising classified information.
- Falsification and False Statements: Members must not provide false information on documentation or enlistment.
- Insubordination: Members must obey authorized orders from a superior.
- Neglect or Careless Performance: Members must remain attentive to duty, mission, and task at hand to avoid compromising the Unitary Defense Force property or mission.
- Fighting or Creating a Disturbance: Members must avoid engaging in conflict or fighting that is disruptive to the task at hand.
- Uniform/Equipment Violation: Members must report with the proper uniform and equipment for the mission.
- Unauthorized Inference/Intervention: Members must not interfere with affairs or operations not within their position, rank, clearance, unit, or division.
Activity Standards
In the Unitary Defense Force, we have set expectations for participation and communication that all members must achieve. We hold ourselves to a high standard of excellence, and we expect our members to do the same.

Here are our activity policies:
- Members are expected to be active in events at least 2 days a week.
- Members are expected to be active on Discord, checking important channels, and responding to posts and events.
- Members are expected to respond to Discord posts sent by officers, especially if the order or statement was direct.
- Members are expected to communicate any availability issues that would result in the member being inactive.
- Members who have completed their first orders are eligible for leave.
- Member's leave max durations are based on Rank Grade, and range from 1-3 months.
- Reserve transfers must be requested from the branch leader with a valid reason.
- Members with 2 or more flags are ineligible for leave and reserve transfers until the conditions for removing the flag are met.
- A Command of Officers or Bureau has the authority to deny reserve transfer.
- Members must check and react to all event posts on Discord.
- Abusing leave is subject to a dishonorable discharge.
